  1. W i n N E T   M a i l (TM)(account.001)
  2.  
  3. This program will automatically setup your Internet account
  4. on the WinNET server.  This permits you to begin to use your 
  5. WinNET Mail system in a matter of minutes. 
  6.  
  7. This program works in three steps:
  8.  
  9.  
  10. 1.  Mailing Address Information is requested.  This includes
  11.     your Name, Address, and Telephone numbers.
  12.  
  13.     Billing Information is requested.  Automatic
  14.     registration can only occur for Credit Card payers. 
  15.     Please see TERMS.TXT or press the TERMS button on 
  16.     the Billing Information screen for full Terms and
  17.     Conditions of your WinNET account. 
  18.  
  19. 2.  With all of the necessary information provided, this
  20.     program will then attempt to connect to the WinNET
  21.     server using your modem with the Communications
  22.     Parameters you provided during setup. 
  23.  
  24.     If there is a problem at this step, it is most likely
  25.     due to Communications Parameters settings.  See the
  26.     TROUBLE.TXT file for more information. 
  27.  
  28.     If successful, this program will transfer your account
  29.     request with Mailing and Billing information to the
  30.     WinNET server.  It will hang-up after the transfer.
  31.  
  32. 3.  This program will then pause for about one minute as it
  33.     gives the WinNET server time to validate and establish
  34.     your account. 
  35.  
  36.     After one minute, this program calls the WinNET server
  37.     again to verify successful set up.  If successful, you
  38.     will receive introductory mail from the WinNET server. 
  39.  
  40.     If the set up is not successful, it is most likely due
  41.     to the fact that the System Name that you selected
  42.     when running SETUP.EXE is already taken by another
  43.     WinNET customer.  In this case, it is recommended that
  44.     you re-run SETUP.EXE, select another System Name, and
  45.     then re-run WinNET Account Setup. 
  46.  
  47. If all three steps are completed successfully,
  48. congratulations!  You are a registered WinNET user.  You
  49. can begin to use your Internet account to communicate
  50. with the world!

  58. Terms and Conditions.
  59.  
  60. 1.  The WinNET Mail & News (TM) software, Core TCP/IP
  61.     protocol stack, and WWW browser installation software is
  62.     distributed freely for the purpose of connecting with
  63.     the WinNET service.  There is no charge for the software
  64.     as long as it is used for this purpose. 
  65.  
  66. 2.  The WinNET service is billed on a monthly flat rate
  67.     basis of 
  68.  
  69.                 $19.95 per month.
  70.  
  71.     When you use the U.S. 800 access number you get 
  72.                 
  73.                 four (4) connect hours per month.
  74.     
  75.     Usage beyond the first four hours is billed at the rate
  76.     of 
  77.  
  78.                 $5.40 per hour.
  79.  
  80.     When you use the direct dial number you get
  81.  
  82.                twenty (20) connect hours per month.
  83.  
  84.     Usage beyond the first twenty hours is billed at the rate
  85.     of $1.00 per hour.

  87.     Service is billed on a calendar month basis.  The flat
  88.     rate and the corresponding four connect hours are
  89.     prorated in the first and last calendar month of
  90.     service.

  92.     Connect time is recorded in increments of one minute. 
  93.     Fractions of minutes are billed as full minutes.  All
  94.     amounts are denominated in U.S. dollars.
  95.  
  96. 3.  Canadian toll free 800 number service access is also 
  97.     available.  The WinNET Service charge of $19.95 gives 
  98.     1.5(one and one half) hours of access and a charge of 
  99.     $15.40 per hour thereafter.

  101. 4.  Payment.  As part of your account registration we
  102.     request a credit card number for payment.  You will be
  103.     charged $19.95 when you first establish your account as
  104.     payment of your first month of service.

  107. 5.  You will be sent a statement of account usage via
  108.     WinNET mail after the end of the month.  Your credit 
  109.     card will be charged for the amount on the statement.
  110.     
  111.     Other payment arrangements are possible, please contact
  112.     us (telephone: 1-800-WIN-NET2 or 502-589-6800).

  114. 6.  Ending Service.  If you choose to terminate your account
  115.     on WinNET, all you need to do is contact us by WinNET
  116.     Mail (accounts@win.net), letter, or telephone.  We will 
  117.     end your service on the date that you request and prorate 
  118.     your charge for that month accordingly.

  120. 8.  WinNET Communications exercises no control whatever over
  121.     the content of the information passing through the
  122.     WinNET system.  WinNET Communications is not responsible
  123.     for the accuracy, quality, or content of the information
  124.     obtained through its service.  WinNET Communications
  125.     makes no warranty, whether expressed or implied, for the
  126.     service it offers.  WinNET Communications disclaims any
  127.     warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular
  128.     purpose.

  130. 9.  WinNET Communications makes no warranty whether
  131.     expressed or implied for the WinNET software.  No
  132.     warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular
  133.     purpose is provided for the WinNET software. 
  134.  
  135. 10. WinNET may only be used for lawful purposes.
  136.     Transmission of any material in violation of United
  137.     States law, laws of the nation in which WinNET is used,
  138.     or state law or regulation is prohibited.  This 
  139.     includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material,
  140.     material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or
  141.     material protected by trade secret.  You agree to
  142.     indemnify and hold harmless WinNET Communications from
  143.     any claims resulting form your use of the WinNET service
  144.     or WinNET software which damages you or another party.
